The terrain continues to rise further behind the Ulrikstoppen. To get to the highest point, you have to continue a long way, actually all the way to the edge of the Vidden, facing south of Arnadalen. There is Hauggjelsvarden which with its 674 meters is the highest point of the city mountains.
Turnerhytten is located 3.1 km from Ulriken. This is a nice trip for a family with young children, hikers come from many places and the trails go in many directions outside the cottage.
The cabin is open for dining every Saturday and Sunday between 11:00 and 16:00 in the summer, and closes at 15.00 in the winter. We have voluntary cabin guards every weekend who sell pancakes, coffee and chocolate and maybe some other exciting things.
Vidden is the classic long hike in Bergen!
Whether you are starting from Fløyen or Ulriken, the hike is a journey through varied nature with incredible views and exciting sights along the route.
